Submissions.
We welcome news and event submissions related to Women's Equality.

News. This could include human interest stories, legislative news, announcements of new resources,and updates on ongoing activities.

Provide information in this order and format:

  • Headline linked to the active URL* that will direct readers to the article or website. Links must be for non-copyrighted material that is available free to the public.
  • Summary of 50 to 100 words. (Often can be first paragraph of a news article.)
  • Your contact information.
*To link the URL to the headline:
    - Copy the entire URL (the address beginning with "http://") from the browser page referencing the news (e.g., the entire article or the location to download a report.)
    - In your email program, select the entire headline
    - From the menu bar select "insert" and "link" or similar commands. You should get a dialog box where you can paste the link you just copied.
    - You can test it by emailing it to yourself first. If you need further help, please contact us.

Event Announcements. We are happy to promote nonpartisan events that focus on women's equality. We give priority placement to our members.

Provide information in this order and format:
  • Month Name (initial capital letter), Date (dd)
  • Title of event, City
  • Order of information in body: Time, Street address, Short description, Cost, RSVP deadline, Event contact information. Provide email addresses and websites with live links.+ Begin all phone numbers with area code; use dashes as separators (xxx-xxx-xxxx).
  • Your contact information.
+To create live links for email addresses:
    - In your email program, select the entire email address you want to activate and copy it.
    - From the menu bar select "insert" and "link" or similar commands. You should get a dialog box.
    - In the appropriate space, type in "mailto:" (no quotes) then paste the email address you just copied (no spaces).
    - You can test it by emailing it to yourself first. If you need further help, please contact us.
+To create live links for websites:
    - In your email program, select the entire website address you want to activate and copy it. Make sure that the address does NOT begin with "http://" here. That comes later.
    - From the menu bar select "insert" and "link" or similar commands. You should get a dialog box.
    - In the appropriate space, type in "http://" (no quotes) then paste the website address you just copied (no spaces).
    - You can test it by emailing it to yourself first. If you need further help, please contact us.
