The Power of Her Purse…and Yours
December 29, 2011
Dr. Kathryn “Kay” Clarenbach used the power of her purse to be a leader on women’s equality issues, including at the National Women’s Conference in Houston in 1977. Kay passed away in 1994. Today, we need the power of your purse to continue her legacy of advocacy for the rights of women everywhere.
We know there are a number of worthy organizations seeking your financial support, but consider this: In 2011 Wisconsin women face rapidly changing laws to limit access to reproductive health and family planning services; they experience wage disparities in nearly all professions; they are disproportionately affected by cuts to public services; they are grossly underrepresented in leadership positions. And, did you know many elderly Wisconsin women are forced to choose between paying for groceries and paying for their prescriptions?
Please consider a year-end, tax-deductible donation to support the work of the Wisconsin Women’s Network in 2012. Use our secured Paypal button below to make an online donation, or click here for a printable appeal letter and donation form.
Thank you for your support. We cannot continue our work without you!
